How to use Tainmi
Post a task, set a price, and pay the person whose video shows it is done. Other people can add to that price while voting is open.
Watch and vote
The home page is the video list. One task is one card, even when several videos have been uploaded. The card says how many, and it shows Earn next to the title.
A free account can vote. Each account has one vote per task. Use the green arrow for up and the red arrow for down. Click the same arrow again to take the vote off. The vote can move to another video until the deadline. You cannot vote on your own video.
Points
Your wallet and your score are on your account. A vote, a share, and a comment are each 1 point. Taking a vote off removes that point. A share link names you, so a new member who joins from it is counted for you. That new member is worth 3 points. On the video list, write a comment and press Enter. That posts it and opens the task. The top of the page shows the community fund and whether you are in the top group. The fund pays out to the top 10% at the end of the month.
Post a task
Choose Add a task. Give it a title and a description, set a price of at least $0.01, and choose how long people can vote: 1 day, 1 week, or 1 month. The clock starts when you post.
Choose real footage only or AI allowed. Setting a price needs a card on the account. In this demo the card is not charged. The wallet is practice money.
Add to a bounty
Open a task that is still open and use Add bounty. That also needs a free account and a card. Extra money can be added only while voting is open. The price on the card is the whole bounty, not a separate price for each video.
Upload a video
Open the task by clicking its title, then go to Claim this bounty. That form is on the task page. You must be logged in, the task must still be open, and you cannot upload to a task you posted.
- Choose an mp4, webm, or mov file.
- Add a note for the reviewer if you want.
- Confirm you have the right to post it, and that you did not add music you do not have a licence for.
- If the task says real footage only, confirm you filmed it.
- Submit for review. tainmi.com is written in green onto the video before it is saved.
Each account can have one video in the running per task. If the house rejects it, you can submit another while voting is still open. A pending video stays private until the house approves it. The person who posted it, the person who created the task, and the house can still watch it. Tainmi owns an uploaded video and may use it to promote the site. Once it is approved, anyone may download it and share it.
After the deadline
When the vote window ends, new videos and new votes stop. The house reviews the video with the highest score. A downvote lowers the score. A tie goes to the earlier video. If that video fails, the house reviews the next one.
An approved video pays the person who uploaded it 80% of the bounty. The house keeps 10%. The loyalty programme pays the additional 10% on all 10 videos once that person has 10 winning videos. If no video passes, every backer is refunded. The poster can cancel only before the first video, and only while voting is still open.
Your account
Your username in the header opens your account. From there you can download videos you uploaded and videos on bounties you paid for, change your password, replace the card used to fund a bounty, save a bank account or card to withdraw to, and close the account. A forgotten password can be reset from the log in page. Closing it removes the login and the private details. Tasks and videos stay, under the name Closed account. The full card number and the full bank account number are not stored. Withdrawals lower the practice wallet. Nothing is sent to a bank until payouts are connected.
If a video breaks the rules, use Report. That hides it until the house restores it or removes it.
The house rules are on the Rules page. What Tainmi stores is on the privacy statement.
