What is Tainmi?

Tainmi is a social media site that allows users to request videos they want to watch, and rewards creators for making them. Members earn points for sharing content, voting, and creating. The top point earners get paid a share of revenues, and creators who are voted the best by the community earn bounties on the tasks they complete.

Who can join?

Anyone can create a free account. A free account can vote. A price is paid from the wallet. A card is not required when the balance covers it.

What countries do you cover?

Members can come from anywhere. Payouts can be sent to these countries. Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States.

If someone from a country that is not listed earns a bounty, we will work with them on an offline payment if possible.

Who owns the videos?

Uploaded videos belong to the community. Anyone can download them. Every video contains a tainmi.com watermark.

What file formats do you support for video files?

You can upload an mp4, webm, or mov file.

Do I need a card to post a task?

A price is paid from the wallet. A card is not required when the balance covers it. If the wallet is empty, deposit at least $20. Stripe processes that card payment. Voting only needs a free account.

Why is there a $20 minimum deposit?

The minimum deposit is $20 so that our costs stay manageable. If you do not have $20, try to complete some tasks and earn bounties. You can use that balance to fund the task you want to start or add to.

What is the minimum I can fund a task with?

A task can be set up with no bounty. You can add to a bounty in 1 cent increments if you have a balance in your wallet. There is no incentive for someone to complete a task unless someone adds to the bounty.

Who receives the bounty?

When voting ends, the highest-scoring video that is still up wins. That person receives 80%. The house keeps 10%. The loyalty programme pays the additional 10% on all 10 videos once they have 10 winning videos. A tie goes to the earlier video. If no video remains, every backer is refunded.

What is the community fund?

The community fund is 3% of each bounty that is paid. It comes from the house fee, not from the winner. It pays the top 10% of members by points at the end of the month.

When can I add money or cancel?

Other people can add to the bounty while voting is open. The poster can cancel only before the first video, and only while voting is still open.
